The Clepsydra Portal by Atelier Astil redefines museum architecture as a gateway to a fluid, immersive experience. Designed under the visionary leadership of Principal Architect – Arpita Sharma, the project is a symphony of curves, light, and shadow, creating a dynamic interplay that evolves throughout the day. The undulating curves guide visitors through the space, creating a seamless flow from one gallery to the next. Even the tiniest details echo this design philosophy—the curvature of the walls, the sculpted light fixtures, and the rounded edges of furnishings ensure that no element feels out of place. “Every curve within the portal – whether bold and sweeping or subtle and delicate – carries a purpose: to transform the visitor’s journey into an emotional experience,” Arpita Sharma remarks. 

The central hourglass-shaped structure, anchored by the towering column, is a striking feature that embodies both the fragility and permanence of time. Far from merely structural, the column commands attention with its striking presence, imparting a sense of grandeur and historical significance. It captivates visitors, inviting them to reflect on the continuum of time and its profound connection to the space around them.
